Every now and then I struggle to sleep at night. When these periods of sleeplessness first began, I looked online for support and advice. All I found were spam blogs with no credibility and websites touting products or full of dull, lifeless medical jargon.

What I really wanted was to find other people that had trouble sleeping. I wanted to find a community that was respectful but light-hearted. I wanted it to offer good, unbiased advice - from people that knew what they were talking about.

I didn't want to be sold products unless I knew they worked. I didn't want to talk to people with no personality. I wanted to find a community of people that understood what I was experiencing, and would offer some support, advice and fun.

After a lot of looking, my search came to nothing. After further research, it became clear there were others out there that couldn't sleep who were just as frustrated as I was with the lack of a central online resource that was unbiased, supportive, full of advice and fun.

Let me be clear; I wouldn't call myself a chronic insomniac. However, I do know that insomnia isn't taken seriously enough. Insomnia is much more than not being able to sleep every now and again. Insomnia is rarely ‘cured’ by taking a relaxing bath before bed or avoiding coffee after 4pm. Insomnia can mean little to no sleep on a long term basis. Insomnia is misunderstood. People don’t understand the consequences of insomnia – the frustration, the loneliness, the desperation.

I want to change all this. I hope you'll join us.
“Last night I dreamed I had insomnia. I woke up exhausted, yet too well rested to go back to sleep.” - Bob Ingman
