Are pressure points the cause of your insomnia?

31 May 2010 in insomnia causes

Shelterpop recently ran an article discussing how pressure points may be the reason for your tossing and turning at night. Apparently, sleeping surfaces that are too hard or ‘unyielding’ can create pressure points that make sleep difficult.

We’ve written before about bed manufacturers waging war on insomnia but we’re taking this article a little more seriously. We wouldn’t say that all cases of insomnia are down to pressure points, but your sleeping surface may be making sleep more difficult than it should be.

The best way to relieve pressure points? Memory foam and latex pillows are supposed to be the best cure – and if you can’t afford to buy a new mattress, there are mattress protectors and toppers available.

Even if changing your sleeping surface doesn’t cure your insomnia, at least you’ll have a more comfortable surface to rest on.
