If you suffer from sleep apnea, you might want to consider taking a trip to your dentist. Not just any dentist, though – you want one that is a certified dental-sleep practitioner.
Snoring is a problem – not only can it disrupt the sleep of those around you, it may be a sign of sleep apnea – which can be dangerous. Unfortunately, there aren’t a huge number of dental-sleep practitioners out there (yet) but if you can find one, you may want to pay them a visit.
They aren’t allowed to diagnose sleep apnea, but they can treat it by making and fitting oral devices that keep the airway open.
Just another route to explore after speaking with your doctor.
