An article from GMA News recently caught our eye – apparently, almost 50% of those employed in the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector in the Philippines (mainly call center workers) claim to be suffering from insomnia.
Maybe that’s because this is a stressful, heavily supervised job. Maybe that’s because around 42% of BPO employees work the night shift. Both of these factors are recognized insomnia causes.
Another good reason to make that promised career change, perhaps?
