Decaffeinated coffee is all a conspiracy but now the truth is out there

18 February 2010 in insomnia causes, insomnia information

We’ve all heard the over-used insomnia advice that tells us to avoid caffeine if we want to sleep at night. Lots of us will stick with the caffeine in the morning, then move over to decaffienated coffee in the afternoon. How much can we trust that the decaff coffee we’re about to slurp is, in fact, caffeine free, though?

Well, thanks to this post over on Gizmag, we now know there is a verification system available. Caffeindicator is printed on the paper sugar sachets which you then tear off and dip into your coffee. If it turns pink, there’s caffeine present and the big conspiracy is uncovered.

To be honest, we’re not sure that the serving of regular coffee instead of decaff is a big issue (if you know otherwise, do let us know) – however, every little helps when it comes to the battle with insomnia!
