Fall asleep naturally with the virtual dreaming technique

by Martin Reed on 19 December 2012 in insomnia cures

If you find it difficult to fall asleep due to a wandering mind (or even a racing mind), then brainwave entrainment can help – join my free sleep training course to learn more.

Another technique that can help you fall asleep naturally is virtual dreaming.

It’s very simple and well worth a try next time you’re lying in bed, finding sleep impossible due to excessive mental chatter.

The technique involves you coming up with a dream whilst you are still awake.

The dream can be anything you want it to be – for example, you may decide to dream that you’re mountain climbing. Maybe you’re off for a sky dive. Maybe you’re a secret agent.

The possibilities are endless; just choose a dream scenario that is pleasurable for you.

The technique works by distracting your mind from its normal worries and stresses. In effect, you soon forget to worry about sleep, making sleep far more likely.
