Holding a grudge probably isn’t good for your mental or physical health – we don’t really need ABC 4 to tell us that. However, we did find their list of physical problems associated with holding a grudge intriguing:
Not only do you feel emotionally hurt, but if you don’t deal with your grudge, you can also get physical problems. It causes anger, anxiety, depression, paranoia, insomnia and even physical pain.
So there you have it! You can cure your insomnia by calling an end to all existing grudges, and vowing never to hold new ones. Yes, we’re being cynical – although we will concede that holding fewer grudges will probably make you happier so it’s probably good advice. Just don’t count on it curing your 15-year spell of insomnia, though.
