Back in May we wrote about a study that found a link between insomnia and diabetes. A new study has now reached a similar conclusion.
The new study found that those who get less than six hours of sleep per night are at an increased risk of a condition called impaired fasting glycaemia (IFG) – a pre-diabetes state. This condition also increases the risk of heart disease and stroke.
We’re getting sick of saying it, but here is yet another reason why we need to start taking insomnia seriously. Why are we still ignoring this condition?
