Insomnia may cause paranoia

9 July 2010 in insomnia information

We just read a snippet of an article over at The Independent that tells us insomniacs are more likely to fear that others are trying to harm them.

A study of 8,580 adults found that those who had difficulty sleeping over the course of a month were three times more likely to fear that people were trying to harm them compared to those who slept well.

Insomnia has many nasty side effects – all of which are serious and can be dangerous. We need to stop brushing insomnia under the carpet and start taking it seriously.
