Insomnia relief from a massage chair

7 January 2010 in insomnia cures

Over the past few weeks, we’ve mentioned a number of items that claim to offer insomnia relief; beds, pillows, nails, needles, etc. Now we can add one more item to the list – a massage chair!

Apparently, one of the benefits of Keyton’s range of massage chairs is the ability to combat insomnia. This claim has even been scientifically tested by the University of Valencia. When we click on the certification, though, we see a familiar story. The test found a reduction of ‘muscular stress’ and an increase in muscular relaxation after using the chairs. As a result, it can help improve insomnia related to stress.

Again, we need to remind ourselves (and others) that insomnia isn’t just about stress – often, it’s far more complicated than that. Be sure to read the fine-print whenever you come across products that claim to relieve your insomnia. Talk to others who have tried the products (advertised testimonials don’t count). For more advice, talk to your doctor.
