Insomnia similar to drunkenness but probably less fun

28 May 2010 in insomnia information

We just read an article over at The Week which reports that according to a Harvard sleep expert, 24 hours without sleep (or a week of sleeping only five hours per night) is equivalent to having a blood alcohol level of 0.1%.

That’s good to know – next time you’re accused of having ‘one too many’ at a social gathering, you can blame your apparent inebriation on your insomnia rather than the alcohol.

Perhaps being an insomniac has its benefits, after all.
