These insomnia cures are certainly not vegan friendly

by Martin Reed on 31 January 2013 in insomnia cures

I thought I’d share something a little more light-hearted today.

In my never-ending quest to share the latest insomnia information, news and research with you, I’ve stumbled across quite a tidbit when it comes to curing your insomnia.

Apparently all you need is access to dormice, sea slugs and boars.

Insomniacs in Elizabethan times were sometimes advised to rub the soles of their feet in dormouse fat.

In Japan, sea slug entrails are an ancient folk remedy for insomnia.

Finally, the gall from a castrated boar was thought to induce sleep in medieval times.

Try any or all of the above ‘cures’ at your own risk!
