You suffer with insomnia because you’re a scrooge!

9 December 2009 in insomnia causes

We just finished reading an article on Chicago Now that claims your pillow could be the reason why you aren’t getting a good night’s sleep. Whilst we would agree that having a comfortable bed is definitely a good thing when it comes to trying to sleep, we doubt it’s the main culprit of your insomnia.

However, one interesting part of the article mentioned that people may struggle to sleep because they are going for the ‘buy a bed and get free pillows’ deals – and those free pillows are usually pretty naff. Therefore, if you’re frugal you’ll probably go for the deal and not get any sleep (well, that’s our interpretation anyway).

On a more serious note, the article does share some useful advice about pillow sizes and styles according to your sleeping habits – so we’d recommend you give it a read.

Nice aritcle. I’ve never gotten free pillows with a mattress, so obviously I’m missing out on something. lol

As a side note, I have tried buying pillows for side sleeping andfound them to be extremely uncomfortable. I prefer the nice pillows at Target. :)

We have to admit, that’s an offer we must have missed too, Lindsay! We’d agree with you that expensive doesn’t always mean quality – and we find the ‘odd’ shaped pillows to be uncomfortable, too. Still, for those that haven’t tried it, it could be an avenue worth exploring.
