Just last week we wrote about the Swedish bed of nails that is supposed to relieve insomnia - now we've come across this post that cites a study that found acupuncture to be more effective than sleeping pills. Maybe there's a connection here.
As usual, there is a small caveat - acupuncture was only more effective than sleeping pills when defining 'effectiveness' as increasing total sleep time by more than three hours.
Nevertheless, getting an extra three hours sleep is nothing to be sniffed at - we'd like to know if you've tried acupuncture, and how effective it was for you. Either leave a comment below, or drop us an email.
