Recommended herbal teas for natural insomnia relief

When it comes to herbal remedies for insomnia, herbal tea is often mentioned as a natural insomnia cure.

However, I often find chamomile claiming all the glory and knew there had to be more options out there.

So, I went looking and here's what I found, courtesy of NYCTCM.

  • Scallion tea (soothes the nerves).
  • Perilla (Zi Su Ye) tea (a stress reliever).
  • Squash tea (improves the circulation of your qi energy).
  • Suan Zao Ren tea (calms the spirit and calms the nerves).
  • Walnut tea (contain melatonin).

To be honest, I hadn't heard of two of these (can you guess which ones?!) and I never would have considered making tea with the other three!

That being said, if you're after natural remedies for insomnia, these herbal teas could be worth a try.
