Food is very important when it comes to sleep quality and sleep health.
Now it would appear there's one more to add to the list of foods we should be consuming more of: passion fruit.
According to Carlson Gracie, a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a drink based on passion fruit can help relieve insomnia and improve the nervous system.
For those interested, the recipe is pretty simple - simply mix five or six passion fruits together with either plain water or coconut water to make up to three glasses. Don't add anything else to the mix.
The drink should be consumed in place of a meal.
I've already written about the benefits of passionflower - so it makes sense that the fruit itself can be just as helpful when it comes to improving sleep.
Passion fruit is high in iron and potassium - and we know that deficiencies in these minerals are linked to sleep problems.
