The live chat is scheduled for Sunday 5 September 2010 at 1pm Pacific/4pm Eastern/9pm British Summer Time.
The more members that make it to the live chat, the more fun it will be, so please try your best to meet us there. The chat is purely text based - so there's no need to feel shy!
To join the live chat session, simply follow these steps:
1. Visit http://www.insomnialand.com/ on Sunday 5 September 2010 at the following time:
1pm Pacific Daylight Time
4pm Eastern Daylight Time
9pm British Summer Time
For emmaree in Sydney, Australia, the date is Monday 6 September (at 6am I believe - but please double check).
For members outside of these timezones, you might want to check the time for where you are using this tool: http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc
2. When you visit the homepage for Insomnia Land at the above date and time, you'll see a big link for the chat page. Simply click it (a new window will open), type in your username and you'll be logged in.
3. If you need any help or have any questions, reply to this email AT ANY TIME. Even if it's the day of the chat session and you're having trouble getting in, email me and I'll respond right away.
This is an exciting step in the development of Insomnia Land - I hope you'll make it along and join in the fun.
See you on Sunday 5 September!

I'll know what not to do next time. Any plans for another one, Martin?

Mike - Sorry to hear of the trouble you had. You should have been able to rejoin the chat session just by clicking the link again. I'll make sure there's a backup next time so you'll definitely be able to get back in if anything goes wrong.
Matt - We did miss you, but I understand you had your reasons for leaving early. No hard feelings - I am grateful you turned up!
To be honest, I was hoping (and expecting) a few more members to turn up - but thank you to the five of you for making sure the event wasn't a disaster. It was a lot of fun chatting with you all in realtime and I think the session was a success, despite the low numbers.
I'd love to make this a more regular event - but let's hold off on confirming that for now. Instead, I want to see if we can come up with some ideas on how to get more of our members involved in the live chat - do you have any personal connections with other members that you can use to encourage them to come along to the next chat session? How can we better communicate just how fun these sessions are, in order to boost attendance?
I had such a great time with you guys on Sunday and would love to extend that fun to more of our members.
I look forward to reading your thoughts, comments and suggestions.

Plenty of time for us to convince others to come on over for the next one!
