I was up late one night a few years ago with another bout of insomnia. I turned on the computer and started doing some research.
I wanted genuine insomnia information, help, advice, and support.
Unfortunately, all I found were spam blogs with no credibility, websites touting products or sites full of dull, lifeless medical jargon.
What I really wanted was to find other people that had trouble sleeping. I wanted to find a community that was respectful but light-hearted. I wanted it to offer good, unbiased advice - from people that knew what they were talking about.
I didn't want to be sold products unless I knew they worked. I didn't want to talk to people with no personality. I wanted to find a community of people that understood what I was experiencing and would offer some support, advice, and fun.
After a lot of looking, my search came to nothing. After further research, it became clear there were others out there who couldn't sleep and were just as frustrated as I was with the lack of a central online resource that was unbiased, supportive, full of advice and fun.
That was when I created Insomnia Land. This website is intended for those who have trouble with sleep and are looking for additional information and support.
Since 2009 I have been researching insomnia and sharing my findings on this website. My private insomnia support forum has attracted over 500 members who have shared almost 7,000 forum posts about their sleep.
I have helped thousands of people improve their sleep without having to rely on sleeping pills.
97% of those who graduate from my free sleep training course say they would recommend it to a friend.
I am recognized and featured as a patient advocate and insomnia expert on Organized Wisdom and HealthCentral, and Insomnia Land has been selected as one of the best sleep disorder blogs for three years running by Healthline.
I also have a master's degree in Health and Wellness Education.
My mission is two-fold. First, I want to help you improve your sleep by sharing credible information about how you can improve your sleep. Second, I am here to offer reassurance and support. You are not alone!
Insomnia is misunderstood. People don’t understand the consequences of insomnia – the frustration, the loneliness, the desperation.
I want to change all this. I want to eradicate insomnia. Join me!
