From our experience in Insomnia Land's insomnia help forums, we know that insomnia affects a large number of creative people; writers, painters, designers and so on.
A lot of the time, it seems as though the main reason for this is the fact that creatives struggle to switch off their brains. A blog post by Sulci Collective does a great job of summarizing one creative's experience with insomnia.
What's really refreshing is seeing the author consider their insomnia as somewhat of a good thing - those sleepless nights aid creativity and allow more time to be creative.
Some members of our insomnia help forums also reluctantly admit there can be some positive aspects to their insomnia. That's a good thing, too - we don't want to be a place for nothing but doom and gloom.
