Earlier in the year we wrote about the potential of electrotherapy as an insomnia cure. Well, rather than investing in cranial stimulators, some Indonesians are taking advantage of a free source of electricity to cure a range of ails from insomnia to diabetes: railroad tracks.
Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently some Indonesians are stretching out on the railroad tracks just outside Jakarta in order to reap the benefits of electric therapy. This doesn't sound particularly safe to us, but when questioned, 50-year-old Sri Mulyati stated that she'll continue to lie across the railroad tracks until she's completely cured (or, we'd add, struck by a train).
Needless to say, we don't recommend you try this one at home.
